Columbus

Columbus, the capital of Ohio, is the fastest growing city in Ohio. You'll find beautiful new residential subdivisions reaching far out along its busy highway systems and nestled among the trees on the banks of its several rivers and streams.

Just as neighborhood communities that outline the city have developed distinct images for themselves, so have the many areas within the city.

In the north part of the city of Columbus homes are in large carefully planned areas such as Minerva Park, Sharon Woods, and Forest Park with homes by a number of well-known builders.

To the west and south of Worthington, such areas as Indian Hills, Sycamore Hills, and The Knolls offer a wide variety of available homes.

Closer in, the established communities of Clintonville and Beechwold have a selection of fine older homes built predominantly in the 1930's to the 1950's.

Just to the south of downtown is German Village; probably the oldest part of Columbus. Here in recent years a German Village Society was formed to promote the restoration of these fine old homes. They are mostly small brick residences built close to the sidewalks with picturesque iron fences patterned after housing in Germany. The addition of old-world style apartments has made it one of the most sought after areas for young singles and the downtown career people. Housing in German Village is unique. You can eliminate your automobile with a 15-to-20 minute walk to downtown Columbus.
