In the late 1980's Dublins growth officially made it a city. Although it was not settle by Irish settlers, Dublin does embrace it's Keltic image, with St. Patrick's Day parade and celebrations as well as the Dublin Irish Festival in early August. Minerva Park

Incorporated as a village in 1940, Minerva Park was the site of an Amusement Park that opened in 1895. People took street cars from Columbus to Minerva Amusement Park, where a ravine was damned to create the lake.

In the 2000 Census there were 562 homes in Minerva Park.

The golf course east of Minerva Park is privately owned and may be the future site of residential development according to information on the village's website. A 'Residential Tax Incentive District' was created to develop the land.

Minerva Park is known to have a vigilant police department.

The oldest homes in Minerva Park were built in the late 1920's. There was a flurry of building activity in the village after the Second World War. The majortiy of the homes are from the 1950's.
