Hello All, Thought you might enjoy a success story right about now. Use it as you wish. When I joined the real estate industry almost five years ago (time does fly when you're having fun), no one ever said that it was going to be easy. They were right. As with most things in life, if you want to excell, it takes a lot of hard work. Some tasks however, if you utilize the tools associated with them, can make these tasks easier. I was working with a client about three years ago helping him find a home. We had actually searched for about four weeks when his company transfered him prior to his purchasing his new home. I unhappily accepted it as some deals are smooth as silk, some are tougher than they should be, and some just don't get done. He was gone, but I could focus on my remaining clients that much more I told myself (again unhappily). My phone rang last Thursday and it was my former, I mean current client. His company is relocating him back to the Columbus area. He has remembered me because of the service that I provided him three years ago, and because he said I was so diligent at remembering to email him my monthly newsletter each and every month. You and I both know that I entered his information one time, three years ago, and haven't spent any time since. He said that he was working through Prudential and wasn't sure which brokerage they were going to have him use. I told him to call Pru and explain to them that he and I had worked together previously and that he wanted Harley Haas and HER Real Living to assist him in his move. I immediately called and registered him with Shyla and today she called and said it was official. There are those pessimists in the world who would say but last time you wouldn't have had to pay a referral fee and now you will. I was not really very good at regularly sending mailings to my farm area and my sphere of influence, but with the new technology and marketing tools that's all changed! It is so easy just to go to the Real Living intranet, and order my cards. Since I started the mailings, I have found that every month I have had a call and have gotten a listing. I now have more listings than I have ever carried before. Since April, I've taken 8 listings altogether; I’ve had one each month, in June I believe I got 3, in July I got 2. We have the ability to edit the cards as we want to, that is a really nice thing. But it is so easy to do that I have done that faithfully every month and it has paid off in listings. This makes our mailings so simple. I have had people call me that I have I worked with in the past that I have a feeling may have forgotten about me but when they received my postcard, they called me and I listed their home and they might have been persuaded to go in another direction if that had not happened.So I thank you so much for doing all this for us. Just this very weekend, I was responding to an offer on a listing and my lady wanted it all done with especially good language and it was around 10 at night. I was home and I just got on the internet and went to Myrealliving and prepared a purchase contract, picked and clicked the wordage which I used to put in our addendum to the purchase contract and had it all ready for the agent when he got into his office at 8 a.m. the next morning. The online contracts and forms at MyRealliving are AWESOME!!! I've used them every day this week...from the agency relationship form and Form 300... to the addendum to purchase agreement to move up a closing date...to making an offer. I had a client make an offer on a property today and we didn't even have to get together to do paperwork. I filled in the contract online with her on the phone, emailed it to her to sign, and she faxed it back to me! What a wonderful tool for our business, especially for those of us with other jobs and commitments whose time is really at a premium.
